University of California (UC) Berkeley professor to give a talk on Dynamic Meshing for Fluid Simulations in Computer Animation in UP Cebu
A professor from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences in the University of California Berkeley will share insights on his research in physical modeling for computer graphics.
Jonathan Richard Shewchuk will visit the University of the Philippines (UP) Cebu on June 15, 2015, to give a talk on the Dynamic Meshing for Fluid Simulations in Computer Animation.
Shewchuk is best known for his software Triangle for high-quality triangular mesh generation, which won the 2003 James Hardy Wilkinson Prize in Numerical Software, and his “Introduction to the Conjugate Gradient Method Without the Agonizing Pain.”
The seminar will be held in UP Cebu AVR 2 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
