The University of the Philippines Cebu Fighting Maroons secured a spot in the finals of Mayor Teresa Alegado’s Cup after defeating the USPF Panthers, 92-89, in a closely contested semifinal on September 10, 2024, in Consolacion, Cebu.
The team will now face the CESAFI two-time defending champions, the UV Lancers, in the championship match on September 11, 2024.
This tournament serves as a preparatory event for the Fighting Maroons ahead of the upcoming CESAFI Season 2024, which begins on September 21.
