Students from UP High School Cebu showcased their journalistic excellence at the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held on January 30, 31, and February 1, 2025, earning multiple awards in individual, group, and school paper categories.

Individual Categories:

  • Trixie Mhae Ardon – 1st Place, News Writing (English)
  • Alleah Jamer Rubia – 1st Place, Pagkuha ng Larawang Pampahayagan
  • Jana Javier – 3rd Place, Pagsulat ng Balita
  • April Rose Perez – 5th Place, Copyreading and Headline Writing

In the school paper category, UP Tambuli, the official student publication of UP High School Cebu, ranked 2nd Overall Best School Publication (Secondary English). The publication also received recognition in several key sections, placing 2nd Best News Page, 3rd Best Opinion Page, 3rd Best Feature Page, 2nd Best Sports Page, and 5th Best Layout and Page Design.

Th UP High School Cebu students are now set to compete in the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) in Siquijor on February 24-28, 2025 in various journalism categories.
