Award-winning trauma journalist and UP alumna Patricia Evangelista brings her tour for the critically acclaimed book “Some People Need Killing: A Memoir of Murder in My Country” to Cebu on April 22, 2024, at the University of the Philippines Cebu.

“Some People Need Killing” recounts Evangelista’s investigation of the bloody Philippine drug war during Duterte’s regime. In collaboration with Streetlawph, the College of Communication, Art, and Design – CCAD successfully organized the 10th stop of her Philippine Book Tour.

As part of Evangelista’s “Ituloy Ang Kuwento” initiative, striving to pass the word and uphold the power of storytelling, Fully Booked has donated a copy of her book to the UP Cebu University Library, received by Dr. Crina Tanongon.

The book tour featured readings of excerpts and a moderated forum with attendees from academe, media, and the general public, and concluded with a mini-book signing session.
