Around 40 lawyers from the different constituent universities of UP joined the Legal Summit hosted by OVPLA and UP Cebu on April 22-24, 2024.
The OVPLA delegation was led by VP for Legal Affairs Abraham Rey Acosta. UP Cebu was represented by its Chief Legal Officer Atty King Anthony Perez, Legal Officer Atty Leo Joselito Bono, and Legal Assistant Noelle Seno.
A welcome dinner was organized during its first day, with Vice Governor Hilario “JunJun” Davide III as guest of honor. A string of classical songs was performed by UP Serenata.
During the Summit Proper, the attendees discussed various university concerns such as procurement updates, dealings with government agencies, administrative procedures, and other property issues. Within the concept of “One UP”, lawyers strive to be united in resolving these concerns.
The Summit ended with a campus tour hosted by OICA and a courtesy call with VCs Nazareno and Trapero.
