In preparation for UP Cebu High School’s 50 years in 2022, the UP Cebu High School and alumni come together to launch Tunob Bulawan: Bisa’g asa maabot, kita gihapon mag-abot.
The pilot episode was launched on 21 August 2021 with UP High alumni Jude Bacalso (1990) and Pamela Pilapil (1978) as the hosts.
Every month, starting in September 2021, a wide range of activities have been lined up to drum up the hype leading to the celebration in June 2022.
Their monthly activities kick off with the TunobTV video podcast, an online talk show hosted by noted alumni broadcasters, broadcast every first Friday of the month at 7PM via Facebook Live, and later uploaded to the UP High Gold YouTube channel. The website will also feature the Libot, Suroy video series, where every week, a different class will be on the spotlight as they pass on their tsinelas all across the globe.
One of the celebrations in anticipation for the big 5-0 will be the monthly advocacies. For September 2021 the focus will be on Tunob Kinaiyahan (Environment)
This webinar is from the initiatives of the UP Cebu High School and OCEP with its Director, Dr. Aurelio Vilbar as the series host, to an awareness webinar that tackles climate change and how it affects everyone. Through this webinar, our speakers, all noted alumni from the University of the Philippines Cebu High School, share their thoughts and recommendations on how the little changes we do can add up to help us protect our planet.
Additionally, a creative learning series is also in the line of activities. UP High alumni are called in to help current UP High students.
