Amidst the heavy wind and rain on 13 December 2019, students, faculty, and staff occupied the Arts and Science Hall with warm spirits to celebrate Pasko sa UP. The semester ended strong during finals week, sanity still intact, with the University decked out in Christmas lights and spirit.
Overall Champion was awarded to the Library, Health Services Unit, Dormitory, and Security Services having won “Most Cheerful” for their energetic presentation, and 2nd place for façade decorations. College of Social Sciences came in a close second and the College of Communication, Art, and Design and UP High School both placed at third-place.
The College of Communication, Art, and Design won “Best Float”. The College of Social Sciences won “Best in Christmas Decoration”. Marl Justine Vano and Caryle Anne Beltran from the College of Sciences were crowned “Mr. and Ms. Paskuhan”.
“Dili lang kini pag-selebrar sa atong mga swerte sa kinabuhi. Apil pod natong hatagan ang atong mga kaigsoonan nga dili adunahan,” -Chancellor Liza Corro “Busa sa tanan, mang-hinaot ko na kita maglipay ug magsadya unya ato nang kalimtan ang atong mga kagul-anan.”
