Mr. Noe John Joseph Sacramento attended and presented his research paper entitled “Is hope still with our children? The NGOs in confronting a younger criminally responsible population in the Philippines” at the 11TH Asia Pacific Conference of the International Society for Third-Sector Research (ISTR) on July 15-16, 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand with the theme “National Institute for Development Admnistration”. It was funded by UP Cebu Research Dissemination Grant amounting to Php 25,000.00.
The conference has convened different practitioners and academics from the different countries in the Asia-Pacific region. It hosted different discussions concerning the civil societies especially on the third sector-state relations. Moreover, this year’s theme in the conference is “Shifting Sands? The Challenges of Regulatory Change and Its Impact on the Third Sector Environment in the Asia Pacific Region” which significant talks focuses on the regulatory forces that control and confront the civil societies on their delivery of services and in upholding their principles.
