UP Cebu Ugnayan ng Pahinungod conducted Action Research Coaching for DepEd Cebu City partner schools Cebu City Don Carlos A. Gothong Memorial National High School (CCDCAGMNHS) and Guba National High School (GNHS) during their In-Service Training on 8 February and 9 February 2023 respectively.
The coaching addressed the needs of 195 Junior and Senior High School teachers in designing their action research to enhance their student’s academic performance. Volunteer coaches are professors, lecturers, and graduate students from the College of Social Sciences and the School of Management: Prof. Purita Baltazar, Prof. Kenneth Louis Cavanlit, Prof. Edwin Estrera, Prof. Magnolia Laus, Prof. Ricky Salem, Prof. Kim Bondoc, Mr. Sean Policarpio, Mr. Ryan Daniel Dablo, Prof. Ofelia Aljade Ramos, Prof. Shanna Alenton-Oracion, Ms. Grecedes Bontigao, Mr. Fernand Bernardez, Vice Chancellor Hazel Trapero, Prof. Joan Grace Pacres, Prof. Niño Ybañez, Dean Mary Gretchen Chavez, Dr. Anna Leah Cuizon, Atty. Cyril Bryan Cuizon, and UP Cebu Pahinungod Director Aurelio Vilbar.
“This Pahinungod volunteerism inspired our teachers in starting their action research because the UP volunteers were very accommodating in guiding them in every step”, said CCDCAGMNHS Principal Marilou dela Cuesta.
