Dr. Phoebe Zoe Maria U. Sanchez attended and presented her research paper entitled “Criminalization and Military Interdiction: Is there really hope in Duterte’s War on Drugs?” at the International Conference on Global Risk, Security and Ethnicity. The two-day international conference was held at the Sakamoto Campus of the Nagasaki University, Nagasaki City, Japan. It was held August 10-11, 2019 but officially opened on August 9, 2019 in commemoration of the WWII Bombing incident 74 years ago at Nagasaki, last Aug. 9, 1945. It was funded by UP Cebu Research Dissemination Grant amounting to Php 25,000.00.
