25 October 2019 – The 3rd Anniversary of UP Cebu’s Accession as a Constituent Unit was held on the 25th of October at the Arts and Science Hall. The event was highlighted by the presentation of the 8 Gawad Chancellor Awardees for 2019.

Kani usa ka pahinumdom kanato, sa mga napasidunggan man ug sa mga wala, na ang maayong pag-alagad sa unibersidad magsukad sa matag usa kanato,” Dr. Ritchelita Galapate, Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Pasidungog sa Kahusay sa Pangalagad awardee, stated in her opening remarks.

“Magkugi kita ug gamiton atong kaalam sa saktong pamaagi,” Chancellor Corro encouraged everyone. “Ug kini atong tumanon sa tiunay ug sinsero nga pamaagi aron sa pagpadayon nga paglayag sa UP Cebu.”

  1. DR. RITCHELITA GALAPATE (Citation for Service Excellence) – In recognition of her distinctive performance as faculty administrator for more than 10 years
  2. DR. CHARMANE CARREON – in recognition of having finished the PhD in three years, earlier than the 4-year institution stipulated period of degree completion; and in recognition of being a recipient of 2018 Academy of American Poets Award
  3. DR. WEENA GERA – In recognition of being a recipient of 2018 Gro Brundtland Award for Sustainable Development
  4. ASSO. PROF. LILIA TIO – in recognition of being a recipient of the 2019 Gawad Paz Marquez Benitez for Lifetime Achievement in Literature Education.
  5. RED CROSS YOUTH – for being very responsive in providing first aid emergency assistance in the campus in coordination with Health Services Unit
  6. DR. CATHERINE RODEL – for being active in campaigning for fund support generation for UP/UPHS
  7. DR. TIFFANY ADELAINE TAN and DR. LEAHLIZBETH SIA – for the funds generated for the School of Management
  8. DR. LOREL DEE – for her distinctive support for UPC Bid and Awards Committee for more than 5 years not just in UP but as resource person for other government agencies requiring GPPB procurement expertise
  9. PRIMITIVO ERENO – for his service to UP Cebu, even after he has long retired, through his many years of service as a lecturer.
