The UP Cebu FABLAB in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry of the Province of Cebu organize “Think Make Break Precious Plastics” on March 21, 2018. The activity highlights the four precious plastics machines, the Shredder, injection, compressor and extruder.
The idea of th e”Precious Project” was pitched in one of the meet-ups among makers and further developed in December 2017 during the 48 ht. Cooperative Makeathon lead by UP Cebu FABLAB Consultant, Dr. Jeremy Brun. This created an interest among the makers community as the machines are viable processors to upcycle plastic in response to the problem it brings to the environment. Around 50 guest from media and invited personalities, alumni and CCAD faculty and Fine Arts student.
